Growing up in a military family, Dr. Ryan Martz has lived all over the world. He was born in San Diego but considers Hawaii to be his home. Excited to live and practice in Las Vegas, affectionately known as Hawaii’s “ninth island,” Dr. Martz feels honored to provide dental care for the local community.
As a young teenager, Dr. Martz fell on his face and chipped his tooth. This damaged his self-confidence and eventually, he was able to get his tooth fixed by a dentist. Once he saw and understood a dentist’s ability to restore confidence, he found his calling to become a dentist and improve the lives of others. Dr. Martz likes to focus on cosmetics and improving peoples’ lives and confidence.
Dr. Martz is eager to be a part of Meadows Family Dental & Implants because the team is highly motivated, highly knowledgeable, and puts the needs of the patient first. He would like his patients to know that he understands dental anxiety and makes every effort to explain expectations clearly so that patients can get a clear picture of treatment. Dr. Martz is trained to safely administer several options for anesthesia and makes sure that every patient is comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
Education and residency
Dr. Martz graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University–Hawaii in political science in 2009. He earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine in 2017.
Outside the office
When he’s not at work, Dr. Martz loves to surf and hike. His favorite local spot is Red Rock National Park, where he likes to take his Great Dane and three children to enjoy the day. He continuously strives to better his dental abilities by studying new techniques and technology in dentistry. He also loves to cook, especially BBQ, which is perfect for his weekly date nights with his wife and the cooking classes that they take together frequently.
